Serving – There’s a place for YOU!
SLBC operates under the A.C.T.S. Ministry Model. A.C.T.S. stands for “A Church That Serves.” Rather than having committees which actually meet, discuss, and report things, we have Ministry Teams that see a need and then meet that need through hands-on service. Each person serving on the Ministry Team desires to be there and has a heart for the particular area of service in which they are a part. There are many different ministry teams already in place here at SLBC where you can easily get plugged in.
But there’s always room for more. How’s that? Do you have a burden for a need in the church or community that is not currently being met? If so, pray and do some research concerning the details of that ministry – answering questions like: What resources will be needed? How does it relate to the overall purpose of the church? How does the church and community benefit from this ministry? How many volunteers will be needed for this ministry?
Answer basic questions like that and then share your heart, vision, and findings with the appropriate deacon of the church. That deacon will then present your proposal to the leadership of the church for consideration. We will do all we can to help you, enable you, and equip you in order to see YOUR vision realized by God’s grace and for His glory!
